An Iftar and prayer mahfil was held on March 11, 2026, at the International Passenger Terminal Building organized by the Benapole Land Port Authority in Jessore.
The Director of Benapole Land Port, Shamim Hossain, attended the event as the chief guest. The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sharsha, Fazle Rabbi, was present as the special guest.
Another special guest at the program was A.K.M. Atikuzzaman Soni, President of Benapole Transport Owners Association and Vice President of Benapole Municipal BNP.
Officials and employees of Benapole Port, businessmen, transport-related individuals, and people from various professions participated in the Iftar and prayer mahfil. Before Iftar, a special prayer was offered seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the country and the nation.
During the event, speakers highlighted the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, saying that Ramadan teaches people self-restraint, compassion, and brotherhood. They also mentioned that such arrangements play an important role in strengthening mutual harmony and social unity.
At the end of the program, the guests and participants broke their fast together, and the event concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
